NBA 2K22: Update Version 1.5 Patch Notes reveal fixes for The City

Yet another NBA 2K22 update has arrived, and this time it's next gen getting a handful of quick fixes based on the patch notes for Version 1.5.

We've got all the details on the latest NBA 2K22 update including patch notes for Version 1.006 as it's now live on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

NBA 2K22 Update Version 1.5 Patch Notes for Next Gen

The latest NBA 2K22 update is now live on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and based on the download size it's clear that there weren't many major changes.

While download size is unknown on Xbox, it was just 301.8 MB on PS5, which is relatively tiny considering the size of NBA 2K22.

This update is Version 1.006 on PS5 and Version 2.0.0.12 on Xbox Series X|S, though 2K has dubbed it New Gen Patch Update 1.5.

We got an idea of what was coming in this update with New Gen Patch 1.4 as the Courtside Report for it detailed that another was on the way with stability fixes and a few remedies for The City.

2K has now revealed the full Patch Notes for this latest NBA 2K22 update:

• Additional stability improvements in an ongoing effort to improve your user experience.
• Fixed an issue that was causing City/Rec/Pro-Am/W Online games to disconnect either before the game started or at the conclusion of the game.
• Addressed an error code issue that was preventing specific MyCAREER saves from being able to load into the City.
• Significantly improved loading speed when re-entering the City from a building interior (Apartment, Rec, Pro-Am, Event Center, etc.).
• Improved framerate when navigating the City on the Xbox Series X console.
• Traditional broadcast cameras are now available for use in MyNBA once again.
• Fixed an issue that resulted in some MyNBA Online saves to overwrite other pre-existing saves.
• Gym Rat and On-Court Coach badges are now correctly being applied to all badge loadouts.
• Increased the velocity required before a player jumps/falls into or over the first row of the crowd via momentum.
• DJ Booths will no longer allow for tipping when in the proximity of a quest NPC.

Unfortunately, it sounds like their attempts at improving stability may have hit a snag on PS5.

PS5 picks up MyTEAM bugs and crashes following NBA 2K22 update

While 2K was definitely hoping for less issues following this update, the opposite seems to be happening on PS5.

While we can't confirm the same issues are happening yet on Xbox Series X|S, MyTEAM card art seems to have gone missing on PS5 as seen below.

That isn't all, as the game is now extra prone to crashing when attempting to load into Domination from MyTEAM.

Despite the crash, NBA 2K22 is still registering it as a game and using player contracts even for the game which didn't happen.

There's no word from 2K about these issues yet, but it sounds like their attempts at improving stability in NBA 2K22 may have failed on PS5 with this update.

With these past two next gen NBA 2K22 updates arriving so close together, we could see another from 2K as soon as this week or next to try and patch the issues arising from this update on PS5.
