It's been a busy week for 2K when it comes to NBA 2K23 and that's not slowing down as the launch of Season 3 is just a few days away.

The official release date and time for NBA 2K23 Season 3 was recently confirmed as 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm BST on Friday, December 2, 2022.

Atlanta Hawks standout Trae Young has been unstoppable throughout the season with an average of 27.7 points and 9.4 assists per game, and that same icy action is hitting NBA 2K23.

Without further ado, let's dive into all the great content players will get to tackle when Season 3 officially begins.

MyCAREER

Starting with the visual changes, The City and The GOAT Boat will get new seasonal decorations, "chilly courts," new uniforms, and more.

If you want to embrace your inner Santa, you'll have to grind very hard as the new Santa outfit happens to be the Level 40 reward on current gen and Level 39 reward on next gen.

The top reward for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players is the new Core Badge Patterns feature allowing you to change your core badge slots to one of these featured patterns, with more to come later:

• 2 Finishing, 1 Playmaking, 1 Defense/Rebounding
• 2 Shooting, 1 Playmaking, 1 Defense/Rebounding
• 1 Finishing, 2 Playmaking, 1 Defense/Rebounding
• 1 Finishing, 1 Playmaking, 2 Defense/Rebounding

MyTEAM

If you're looking for the top prize, a new Galaxy Opal 97 OVR version of Trae Young will be the Level 40 reward in MyTEAM.

Things will kick off at Level 1 with Free Agent Damien Lillard, but even more exciting is the NBA 2K23 debut of Beyond Level 40 with additional agendas and rewards.

There will be an additional mystery player in the Beyond Level 40 agenda groups, but it's yet to be revealed and players should begin their grind looking to snag Trae Young.

MyTEAM Draft is getting a flurry of upgrades and the Ascension board has a new aesthetic and interface improvements.

Another big change, reward player cards from the weekly Takeover players all the way to the coveted Trophy Case Pink Diamond player will now be available to select from the position packs in addition to the latest card releases.

All existing Domination rewards will get Evolution updates, and the first Dark Matter cards are coming via the Trophy Case including a Dark Matter Larry Bird as the top prize.

The W Online

There will also be a small refresh to The W Online including these top rewards now being up for grabs in Season 3:

2K Beats

Finally, a new season brings new tunes as 2K Beats continue to expand in Season 3 with two artists making their NBA 2K23 debut:

• Lil Pump - Walked
• Jovanie - Running

The NBA 2K23 Soundtrack will also expand with this new addition from Hit-Boy and Dom Kennedy:

Lastly, there will be "boisterous beats this season" coming from well-known producers Kosine and JohnG.
