NBA 2K23 Update 1.02 has finally arrived with the first major set of current gen fixes since launch, and it's a big one.

Here's everything we know so far about the arrival of NBA 2K23 Update 1.02 Patch Notes and how it varies across platforms.

While a few next gen updates have already arrived with minor adjustments or hotfixes, we look to have finally gotten the first big current gen arrival with NBA 2K23 Update 1.02 now deployed.

The download size seems to vary wildly across platforms, and it's largest for Xbox One users who are likely waking up to face a 44.99 GB download sitting in their queue.

Meanwhile with varied version numbers on other platforms, today's Update 1.005 on PS5 was a mere 410 MB, and Update 2.0.0.9 on Xbox Series X|S was just 1.1 GB.

PS4 size isn't known for certain at this point, but some reports indicate it could be about 10 GB in size, which while larger than next gen offerings is still a fraction of the Xbox One update.

As of yet, 2K Games has not released any official NBA 2K23 Update 1.02 Patch Notes, but we should get those in the coming hours.

While 2K is intermittent about whether they release official patch notes for each update, the size of this one and it landing on both current and next gen makes it more likely we'll get actual details.

One hope among many is that core quest bugs like the MyCAREER freeze will be dealt with, but we have more on a temporary workaround if that wasn't addressed.

2K comments on NBA 2K23 Update 1.005

While they haven't actually addressed the massive NBA 2K23 Update 1.02 hitting current gem gamers, 2K has now commented.

In their latest tweet, 2K mentioned the update on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S that deployed last night was to address "stability issues" on the platforms.

They followed up by simply confirming there are "no gameplay changes" in that update, but there's no word if this includes the shooting hotfix Mike Wang spoke about last week.

With their choice to directly mention the next gen update only, it's possible we'll still get full NBA 2K23 Update 1.02 Patch Notes, but when they'll arrive is not yet known.
