NBA Live 19: Utah Jazz Player Ratings and Roster

share to other networks share to twitter share to facebook

The Jazz were the surprise package of last season, going 29-6 to finish the season entrenched in the Western Conference's top eight. Offensively they are limited, but with a great coach and the best defense in the league, they'll be aiming for close to 50 wins again this season. Check out their full roster and all their NBA Live 19 player ratings below.

Ricky Rubio, PG, 84

Age: 27

Position: PG

Height: 6’4’’

Playstyle: Floor General

Best stats: 93 Steal, 93 Defensive Awareness, 92 Stamina

Rubio’s game will always be somewhat limited by his shooting - though it has improved in the last year - but his defense and ability to create for teammates make him a valuable player for the Jazz. In 2017/18, his first season with the Jazz, he averaged a career high 13.1 points per game while knocking down 35.1% of 3-point attempts (also comfortably a career-high), though his assist numbers dropped significantly - a product of sharing ball-handling duties with Mitchell.

Donovan Mitchell, SG, 86

Age: 22

Position: SG

Height: 6’3’’

Playstyle: Slasher

Best stats: 96 Stamina, 96 Dunk, 95 Vertical

Mitchell’s first year in the NBA was one to remember. In any other year he would have won Rookie of the Year in a heartbeat, with the former Louisville player leading the Jazz to the second round of the playoffs on the back of a year which saw him average 20.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.5 steals per game. It wouldn't be surprising to see some sort of regression after a breakout first season, but regardless, he is shaping up as a steal for the Jazz.

Joe Ingles, SF, 79

Age: 30

Position: SF

Height: 6’8’’

Playstyle: Wing Shooter

Best stats: 90 3-point Shot, 86 Mid-Range Shot, 86 Stamina

Janglin’ Joe Ingles has gradually increased his role at Utah, from occasional bench player, to role player, to valuable starter. Last season he averaged 11.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists - all career-highs - as well as 1.1 steals per game, and his 44% shooting from beyond the arc again had him in the top handful of 3-point shooters in the league.

Derrick Favors, PF, 82

Age: 27

Position: PF

Height: 6’10’’

Playstyle: Post Anchor

Best stats: 91 Inside Shot, 88 Stamina, 87 Post Defense

Favors has played at Utah for all but 56 games of his nine year long career, and has become a valuable member of their lineup in that time. Though his pairing with Gobert in the frontcourt limits their ability to stretch the floor, he is a good interior finisher and a strong defender, fitting perfectly into the Jazz game style.

Rudy Gobert, C, 89

Age: 26

Position: C

Height: 7’1’’

Playstyle: Rim Protector

Best stats: 99 Defensive Awareness, 98 Shot Block, 96 Post Defense

The fact that Rudy Gobert won Defensive Player of the Year last season while playing just 56 games goes some way to demonstrate how dominant he is at that end of the floor. The Frenchman, who had the longest wingspan in the league until Mo Bamba was drafted to Orlando a couple of months ago, is never going to be scoring from more than a couple of feet from the rim, but he is an improved offensive player and elite rim protector, and will play a huge role in the Jazz's fortunes this season.
