Brighton: 3 ways they could line up in the Premier League this season

This season has been eagerly anticipated by Brighton fans after a positive summer in the transfer window. Chris Hughton's men will be aiming to reach the mystical 40-point mark as soon as possible so as to assure their place in the Premier League next season.

However, Brighton kicked off their campaign with an away defeat to Watford on Saturday and Chris Hughton admitted that his side "still have work to do" having been "second best in most departments".  

Hughton set up as a 4-4-1-1 but, after such a disappointing performance, it wouldn't be surprising if he changes his approach for Sunday's visit of Manchester United.

Throughout the course of last season, Hughton altered his formation on a regular basis. Whether this was due to him not feeling comfortable with the structure of his side or whether it was more reactive as he looked to cause problems for opposition managers, expect to see him continuing to tinker as the season goes on. 

Many signings entered through the doors at the AMEX this summer. With a solid squad and competition for places rife, here are three potential lineups which we could see Brighton play this season:
