Despite once being considered the Christmas of gaming each and every year, it has been a few years for the Electronic Entertainment Expo or as it's more commonly known, E3.
The downward spiral of E3 had been something recognised by fans for a while but its true problems began in 2020 with the coronavirus pandemic forcing that year's show to be cancelled. While a 2021 show took place digitally, the 2022 show once again was cancelled due to public health concerns, being replaced by Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest.
Despite this, the official word has always been that E3 would return in 2023 and now that seems more likely. Here's all the info.

E3 Bought By ReedPop
Reedpop is a veteran events company known for running globally successful events like PAX, EGX, New York Comic Con and Star Wars Celebration have now added E3 to their growing collection starting from 2023.
Commenting on the news, ReedPop mentioned that E3 2023 would welcome back "publishers, developers, journalists, content creators, manufacturers, buyers and licensors" and that had been listening to feedback from the community, keeping what worked about E3 while reworking what didn't.
The future of E3 is still not completely clear but we now have a much clearer idea of when we can see the return of E3 and what it might look like when it finally returns.
