*LATEST* - Three stories revealed!
The latest trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet finally revealed what the three stories for the game would be and as expected, they tend to follow the usual tropes of the games.
The first story is the classic victory road and the second one follows the battling of an "evil" team in the form of Team Star.
The third and final one is where everything changes up a little bit, seemingly taking an approach closer to Legends Arceus with battles against large titan-like Pokemon.
New Competitive Trailer
A brand new trailer for Pokemon has been released with info on the competitive changes including new moves, newly held items and even a brand new pokemon.
More Scarlet and Violet Details Revealed at Pokemon Presents
Pokemon Presents gave us a brand new insight into the upcoming generation of games, giving us a trailer and breakdown of what scarlet and violet will look like upon release.
This new trailer hinted at three potential stories for the game while also introducing us to the latest gimmick of Terastallization, our motorcycle-based legendaries we'll be riding across Paldea on and, of course, a bunch of new Pokemon confirmed for the games.
New Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Alternate Forms Seemingly Leaked.
Pokemon Leaker source CentroLeaks on Twitter posted a line-up of Pokemon species rumoured to be available in the generation nine games according to various different sources.
These leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt like any Pokemon leak as until there is an official confirmation, it's all up in the air but it seems like scarlet and violet are taking a slightly different approach to forms than prior games, with Paradox Pokemon being the focus over standard regional forms. Something to keep an eye on as we approach November.
Everything We Know About The Starters' Final Forms
Pokemon Leaker and news source CentroLeaks have been sharing a lot of reported information about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet as we edge closer toward the release date but the one thing fans want most is information on the final forms for each of the starters.
While all of this information shouldn't be accepted as 100% as there is still a very clear possibility of information being outdated or incorrect, there seem to be multiple sources confirming each which helps its reliability.
The grass starter Sprigatito will eventually become a bipedal grass/dark type pokemon with a very powerful hidden ability.
The water-type starter Quaxly will evolve into a water/fighting type and will apparently stay bipedal all the way through its evolution process.
Fuecoco, meanwhile, is perhaps the most interesting of the three as it will be a fire/ghost type and will make the rare change of starting as bipedal and will end up as a quadruped in its final form.
Massive Leaks for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
With Pokemon Scarlet and Violet on their way later in the year, the classic set of "leaks" and rumours have begun to spring up. While this is usually expected for upcoming Pokemon titles, an unprecedented amount have been appearing for Scarlet and Violet, many of which are coming from some of the more reputable leakers.
Pokemon YouTube ADrive made a video, discussing all of the leaks, including looks at potential gym leaders, a new rival and glimpses at the new gimmick and some new pokemon among some other information that he had been informed of.
Pre-Orders Now Available
Fans looking to get their Pokémon Fix upon the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on Friday, 18th November 2022 can now pre-order the game in a variety of different ways. These include the Nintendo Switch's Shop for players who want to purchase digital versions of the game and various retailers for those who want a physical copy. Like many of the recent Pokémon games, the titles can be ordered separately or together as a bundle back which supplies both versions of the game.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Release Date
Starting with the end of the trailer, the final shot revealed not only the designs of the two games but revealed that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be released worldwide on Friday, 18th November 2022 with digital pre-orders already available on the Nintendo Switch Store.
Legendary Pokémon and Other New Pokémon.
One of the more exciting things shown in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was a selection of new Pokémon including the two brand new box-art legendaries for each game respectively.
Five Pokémon were shown in total with the three normal Pokémon and the two legendaries.
The three normal creatures included a hamster electric type by the name of Pawmi, a grass type based on an olive named Smoliv and finally a pig Pokémon named Lechonk that is currently taking the internet by storm.
The two legendaries meanwhile are a flamboyant-looking dragon named Koraidon and a more technology-heavy dragon known as Miraidon.
I'm seeing double...TWO PROFESSORS!?
Yes, that's right. There appear to be version-exclusive professors for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet respectively. It appears that the game will see players attend some kind of school/university marked with a scarlet or violet badge and will see one of two professors be their guide through the new region.
While unconfirmed, the drastic difference in styles between the two legendary Pokémon as well as the designs of both of the professors seems to suggest that there will be themes of tradition vs technology in this new region. This could be an attempt to make replaying the other game more worthwhile, something not often seen in the Pokémon franchise outside of completing a Pokédex or a slightly different story.
Is Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Multiplayer?
As revealed in the game's trailer and on the official Pokémon Scarlet and Violet web page, generation nine will be the first time where a Pokémon game is a true multiplayer experience, allowing players to explore the games together in groups of up to four players.
Before this, the closest Pokémon had ever gotten to this kind of multiplayer experience was in generation eight's Pokémon Sword and Shield via the Wild Area, a large open field that had Pokémon spawns and allowed players to see other players from around the world who also happened to be in the area.
With the new games seemingly taking that Wild Area concept and expanding it to the whole region, Pokémon have decided to also expand the multiplayer aspects of the series, finally allowing players to enjoy a journey with friends in the main series games.
