Miami Heat vs Philadelphia 76ers: Lineups, preview & prediction 2/14/18

Philadelphia (29-25) have won eight straight at home after pulling away from the New York Knicks for a 108-92 victory Monday night. Dario Saric scored 24 points while T. J. McConnell became the first 76ers player in club history to come off the bench and record a triple-double as he finished with ten points, 11 rebounds and ten assists to go with six steals.

McConnell also sparked Philadelphia's decisive 15-7 fourth-quarter run with a basket and three assists as the 76ers stretched their lead from seven to 15 points. Philadelphia held New York to 13 fourth-quarter points and is enjoying its longest winning streak at home since opening the 2002/03 season with ten victories.

Miami (30-27) were thwarted in a bid for back-to-back victories and have lost six of their last seven following a 115-112 defeat at Toronto on Tuesday night. Goran Dragic scored 28 points and nearly outscored his starting teammates as the Heat's bench picked up the offensive slack as James Johnson scored 16 points and Wayne Ellington hit five 3-pointers to account for his 15 points.

The Heat's perimeter defense, though, reverted to their recent struggles as they allowed the Raptors to make 13 of 35 from 3-point range. Miami have allowed opponents to hit 37.9 percent of their long-range attempts (44 for 116) in the last four games, a notch above their season mark of 35.7 percent.
