SheBelieves Cup: Germany 2-2 England - 5 things we learned


After blowing away the French team in his first fixture as England Women's National Team manager, it was back to earth with a bump for Phil Neville, whose Lionesses were given a much sterner test by a Germany who would not leave them alone.

The former Manchester United player will be pleased, then, with the fact his side fought back after a couple of defensive errors put England behind twice.

It could have been an entirely different story had Ellen White done better from Izzy Christiansen's late through ball but, in the end, she could only fire directly at Almuth Schult, the German goalkeeper.

With England only needing a draw against the USA to top the table, things are certainly looking bright for the Neville tenure.
