Manchester City: Three ways Wolverhampton Wanderers can upset the champions

On the surface, it seems like a mismatch. The reigning champions visiting promoted side Wolverhampton Wanderers, City starting this season where they left off from the last and fresh from a 6-1 rout of Huddersfield Town.

The bookmakers agree, but whilst some will see this as a free hit for the home side, the result is not inevitable. Wolves have invested heavily in players after running away with the Championship last season, and their attractive style of football will cause many teams problems, especially at home.

The previous two champions — Leicester City and Chelsea — lost the following season away to the Championship winners, so Wolves will hope history is on their side. With that in mind, we’ve had a look at three ways Wolves could cause Manchester City problems on Saturday.
