Toronto Raptors vs Washington Wizards: Lineups, preview & prediction 4/27/18

The top-seeded Raptors (59-23) are one victory from their fourth playoff series win in the last three postseasons afrer a 108-98 win Wednesday night. DeMar DeRozan scored 32 points and Kyle Lowry added 17 and ten assists, but reserve guard Delon Wright packed the biggest punch, scoring the final seven Raptors points of a 19-6 fourth-quarter run that erased a five-point deficit.

The aggressiveness that was lacking in their Game 4 loss at Washington was again clear as Toronto improved to 37-7 at home overall this season. The Raptors hit 11 of 25 from 3-point range while holding the Wizards to five-of-26 shooting from beyond the arc.

John Wall finished with 26 points, nine rebounds and nine assists, but also committed seven of Washington's 15 turnovers. He also failed to score in the final 9:41 when the Wizards (43-39) were outscored 28-14. Bradley Beal added 20 points, but his only basket in the last 17:12 was a meaningless 3-pointer in the final minute.

After being effective offensively in the first four games of this series, Washington were held to series lows in points, shooting (41.1 percent) and 3-point shooting. And they committed a series-worst 18 turnovers as Toronto outscored them 14-8 in points off turnovers and 48-40 in the paint.

If the Wizards do win and force Game 7, it will be played Sunday at the Air Canada Centre.
