Utah Jazz vs New Orleans Pelicans: Lineups, preview & prediction 3/11/18

Pelicans All-Star forward Anthony Davis could miss his second straight game with a sprained ankle suffered in Wednesday's victory at Sacramento. Davis, who averages 28.1 points and 11.1 rebounds, was held out of Friday night's 116-97 home loss to Washington that snapped a franchise record-tying ten-game winning streak for the Pelicans (38-27).

Coach Alvin Gentry said Davis will be a game-time decision, and would be sorely missed if he is unable to play considering he has averaged 33.1 points, 13.4 rebounds and 3.4 blocks in seven games since the All-Star break as New Orleans is 1.5 games out of third place in the Western Conference but also just 2.5 games from being on the outside looking in.

The Jazz (36-30) are percentage points out of the playoff race, just behind the Los Angeles Clippers for the final playoff spot in the West and tied with the Denver Nuggets for ninth. Utah have won five straight and 17 of 19 overall after stifling Memphis 95-78 on the road Friday night.

Jae Crowder hit six 3-pointers and scored a season-high 22 points off the bench as Utah hit 13 3-pointers overall to offset poor shooting nights by rookie Donovan Mitchell and center Rudy Gobert, who combined for just 16 points. Mitchell, who finished with 12 points on four-of-15 shooting, did have six assists as the Jazz turned 16 Grizzlies turnovers into 19 points.
