We're finally here, the NHL 22 Trial has been released and you can now use EA Play to hit the ice even before the title's release date.

Latest - NHL 22 Trial has been released!

Don't worry, the wait is over! The NHL 22 Trial is officially live, as announced by NHL 22 Community Manager Clappy.

We've been able to confirm the game is playable already on Xbox Series X|S if you'd chosen to pre-download.

If you did pre-download, you'll still need to head to the Microsoft Store within the app, choose the game, and select the EA Play Trial button to trigger an install.

The install won't take long, but that step is needed to unlock the NHL 22 Trial.

Players who didn't already have it downloaded should be able to find it in the store and start that process now.

NHL 22 Trial: Play early for 10 hours with EA Play

As has become standard practice for EA Sports titles, we'll once again see 10 hours of access for EA Play subscribers to the NHL 22 trial.

However, you'll need to be an EA Play subscriber, or have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which includes EA Play.

If you don't have EA Play, new members on Xbox and PlayStation can still sign up and get the first month for just 99 cents.

NHL 22 is scheduled for a release date of October 15, 2021, but you'll get to hit the ice over a week early as the NHL 22 trial goes live on October 7, 2021.

Pre Order for Early Access

While the official release date is just over a week after the NHL 22 trial becomes available, you can get your journey started sooner with Early Access.

The initial NHL 22 trial will be time restricted, and if you're excited for launch it'll be very easy to breeze through those 10 hours well before launch day.
