We've got some new NHL 23 ratings and we're going to take a look at more of the overall ratings for the top five goalies and defensive players.

From Defense player Jenni Hiirikoski to Goalie Anne-Renee Desbiens, let's take a look at the top players that were revealed today.

Official NHL 23 Release Date

Approaching quickly is the release date for the game prior to that, we're going to take a look at the NHL 23 ratings.

On October 14, 2022, NHL 23 will be released but you can get a head start by placing a pre order on the X-Factor Edition, letting you play on October 11.

NHL 23 Ratings - Top 5 Goalies (Women)

The NHL 23 ratings continue to be rolled out and we're happy to get a glimpse at the top five women goalies in the game.

Leading the charge is Anne-Renee Desbiens, who has a 92 OVR at launch. Keep in mind that these ratings could be adjusted after the season starts.

Of the latest group of NHL 23 ratings that were revealed Desbiens has one of the best ratings for women in the game at launch.

Here are the top five women goalies in the game:

• Anne-Renee Desbiens - 92 OVR
• Anni Keisala - 90 OVR
• Nicole Hensley - 90 OVR
• Emerance Maschmeyer - 89 OVR
• Klara Peslarova - 88 OVR

Now that we've taken a look at these top five players, let's check out the defensive ratings that were revealed.

NHL 23 Ratings - Top 5 Defense (Women)

Shortly before the NHL 23 ratings were revealed for the top five defense players, including Jenni Hiirikoski, who has a 92 OVR.

Megan Keller followed shortly behind with a 91 OVR but no one has come in with a 94 OVR like Forward Marie-Philip Poulin.

The lowest of the defense NHL 23 ratings is the 90 OVR Renata Fast, which is still a rather impressive rating for this year's game.

• Megan Keller - 91 OVR
• Lee Stecklein - 91 OVR
• Jocelyne Larocque - 90 OVR
• Renata Fast - 90 OVR
