The Legend of Zelda has had its next instalment for the franchise announced by Nintendo.

The statement came through in a short trailer which showed some key elements of new gameplay.

Additionally, the environment takes a drastic change from Breath of the Wild which was very down-to-earth.

However, despite some gameplay shown, there was not much more information about the new game.

Today, Nintendo Direct announced the new Legend of Zelda game which is called Tears of the Kingdom.

There wasn't much direct information about the release. However, some interesting gameplay shown in the trailer has sparked an interest.

The usual art style from Breath of the Wild is used in this new game which perhaps could make it a prequel or sequel to the popular Zelda game.

We see Link diving headfirst into a misty abyss as he falls to the ground. The next clip shows him clinging to a rock elevating from the Faron region.

It's become very clear that the sky will be a huge factor in Tears of the Kingdom.

New transport?

The motorcycle in Breath of the Wild caused controversy between newbies and die-hard Zelda fans.

And we feel that the new aero vehicle may cause the same effect.

Link is seen gliding on what looks similar to a guardian skywatcher. However, this is definitely a vehicle equipped for him.
