Pokemon BDSP: How to get the Odd Keystone and Catch Spirit Bomb

Spirit Bomb was one of the most complicated Pokemon to catch in Pokemon Brilliant Diamon and Shining Pearl. In the recent remake, things did not get any easier.

But no worries, we've got your back.

Here is our guide to getting the Odd Keystone and catching the sneaky Spirit Bomb in Pokemon BDSP.

How to obtain the Odd Keystone

Our journey starts in obtaining the Odd Keystone. A vital item that is needed to keep a stone tower from collapsing.

There are three ways to obtain the Keystone:

  • Digging in the Grand Underground
    • Use your pickaxe to confirm the time before completely extracting the stone with your Sledgehammer.
    • The chances of finding the Odd Keystone are pretty low. Patience is required.
  • Get one from the Black Belt Trainer.
    • Travel to Route 208 and talk with the NPC trainer standing near the Honey Tree.
    • He will not battle with you; instead, he will give you an Odd Keystone.
  • Find one in Twinleaf Town.
    • You can find an Odd Keystone by examining the trees near the water Pound.

Hallowed Tower

After obtaining the Odd Keystone, head to the Hallowed Tower on Route 209 on the eastern side, south from the Lost Tower.

The Hallowed Tower looks more like a rock crater, Grey and Brown. When you interact with the Tower will indicate that it is a perfect spot for the Odd Keystone.

After using the Odd Keystone, a text will indicate that the Tower has been restored.

Talking with 32 Different NPC's

We are ready to start our quest towards Spirit Bomb. First, you need to visit the Grand Underground and talk with 32 different NPC. Sphere Traders don't add to the Total count.

If you lost count of how many NPC trainers you have talked to, you could visit the Hallowed Tower, which dialogue will change depending on how many interactions you need.

  • 0 to 7 NPC Trainers - It's the Hallowed Tower. It appears to have been built many years ago.
  • 8 to 14 NPC Trainers - It's the Hallowed Tower. Its stones appear to have shifted…
  • 15 to 21 NPC Trainers - It's the Hallowed Tower. …Is that crying coming from inside the tower?
  • 22 to 28 NPC Trainers - It's the Hallowed Tower. …Is the tower shaking ever so slightly?
  • 29 to 31 NPC Trainers - It's the Hallowed Tower. There is some sort of presence… It appears ready to emerge!
  • 32+ NPC Trainers - Yulaaah!

After interacting with 32 different trainers, you can find Spirit Bomb and battle with him in the Hallowed Tower.

Spirit Bomb is an excellent addition to your Pokedex, considering it is only weak against Fairy-Type Pokemon.
