Pokemon Legends Arceus Starter Pokemon

In Pokemon Legends Arceus, Game Freak is drawing from several existing regions to bring the Hisui Region to life. There's three fan-favourite starter Pokemon on offer this time around, not new entries to the national Pokedex, but that makes the choice so much harder. You're going to need to choose from Oshawott, Rowlet, or Cyndaquil.

Here are the currently-known evolution trees for these Pokemon, based on their appearances in previous Pokemon games.

  • Cyndaquil - Fire Type
    • Cyndaquil > Lv 14 > Quilava > Lv 36 > Typhlosion
  • Rowlett - Flying / Grass Type
    • Rowlet > Lv 17 > Dartrix > Lv 34 > Decidueye
  • Oshawott - Water Type
    • Oshawott > Lv 17 > Dewott > Lv 36 > Samurott

Centro Leaks, a notorious leaker for Pokemon content, has suggested that Typhlosion, Decidueye, and Samurott will all feature slightly new Hisuian variant forms. That's not all, though.

These variant forms will blend different types with the original types of these Pokemon and they will all reportedly feature new signature moves to reflect this. We don't know a lot, but Centro Leaks has shared the following...

We're still waiting for more information regarding these Hisuian variants of the Starter Pokemon's final evolutions, but it all sounds promising. Take everything above with a pinch of salt until we see more from an official source.
