How to catch snowballs in Winter Wonderland Overwatch 2


Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland event has brought a whole bunch of new items and missions to the game.

One of these items is the new Ice Queen Brigitte skin which can be unlocked by completing missions.

A mission to be completed to work towards this skin requires players to catch snowballs six times.

This mission can only be completed in Snowball Deathmatch.

Many players are struggling with how to catch these shiny balls.

What is Snowball Deathmatch?

Snowball Deathmatch is the new and upgraded version of Mei's Snowball offensive.

This free-for-all game mode will see each player playing as Mei and throwing snowballs that they have rolled themselves.

Mei's Snowball offensive would see a team of six faces each other. However, this new game mode is more of an 'every man for himself' deal.

These little balls of hard water are one-shot kills, so this mode is no joke.

How to Catch Snowballs in Overwatch 2

Catching a snowball in this game mode is pretty simple.

All players have to do is press the melee button just before the snowball will hit.

This can be done with R3 / RS on PlayStation and Xbox, or the V key on PC.

Pressing this will make Mei raise her hand with an open palm where she can catch snowballs for a little while.

But, timing is key with this, missing the timing will mean that you have been eliminated and count as a point for the attacker.

Doing this six times means that you would have completed the Caught a Cold challenge!

Not only does this work towards getting Ice Queen Brigitte. But, it also unlocks a Junker Queen spray and 1,500 Battle Pass XP.
