Unfortunately, Konami has recently announced that the first patch will not be arriving on the date set originally...

Latest - First update postponed!

The official eFootball Twitter account has posted a statement apologising to fans and notifying them of the postponement of the first eFootball 2022 patch.

Version 0.9.1 of eFootball 2022 was originally due to be released on Thursday, 28 October 2021, but has now been pushed back to 'early November'.

The fact that Konami has not even provided us with a new specific release date is worrying.

Many fans are of the opinion that the game was released far too early, so perhaps we could look at this as a good sign, as the developers hope for Version 0.9.1 to be the finished product.

Let's hope that when the first patch is released, the game is VASTLY improved from what it is now.

eFootball 2022 patch on the way

The first update for their new game is coming very soon.

After receiving A LOT of negative feedback, Konami has finally responded with an update that will hopefully fix the issues already reported and those that continue to be reported.

We expect several more updates to follow in the coming weeks.

MOBILE MADNESS: PES fans are awaiting any news on Konami's next Mobile game

PES 2021 Mobile to be updated to eFootball 2022

Konami has announced that loads of changes will be coming to the mobile version of the game!

eFootball mobile will be available as an update to the existing PES 2021 app.

Current mobile users will be able to carry over a portion of their in-game assets from eFootball PES 2021.

PES 2021 replacement

eFootball is an all-new football simulation platform from the makers of PES and Winning Eleven.

eFootball 2022 is Free-to-play and completely rebuilt in Unreal Engine (4).

eFootball will launch worldwide first on PlayStation5, PlayStation4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows 10 and PC Steam this Autumn, with iOS and Android to follow soon after.

eFootball represents a fresh approach for the long-running franchise, previously known as Pro Evolution Soccer.

It seems that Konami is trying to re-establish itself as a big name in gaming, taking a competitive share of the football game market by going free-to-play would be huge - but will it pay off?
