eFootball 2022 Version 1.0.0 Update: Will a co-op mode be added?

It's been a long time coming, but the wait for the much-needed eFootball 2022 Version 1.0.0 update is almost over.

There is a hope that this could be the update that could help Konami to revitalise their footballing sim, and maybe even stake a claim to battle EA Sports to overhaul the FIFA series at the top of the footballing gaming world.

Konami has promised to take fans' feedback on board in their latest update, and with cries for a co-op mode being echoed for some time, could we see some two-player action in the 1.0.0 update?

Will Co-op be added in Version 1.0.0?

Prior to the eFootball rebranding, the PES Co-op mode was one of the standout features in Konami's football title, one which would encourage football fans to choose PES over FIFA.

However, since the move to the free-to-play title, there has been no co-op mode available, with it understood that Konami removed the mode due to the difficulties in implementing it on a cross-platform basis.

Fans of the mode have retained a small glimmer of hope that it may be reintroduced into the title in the upcoming 1.0.0 update. However, we have some bad news on that front.

There are currently no indications that an eFootball 2022 co-op mode will be introduced in the high profile update.

The developers haven't ruled out the addition in the future, but if it is to return, it's highly unlikely that we will see it anytime soon.
