eFootball - the new free-to-play game from Konami - no doubt has plenty to offer. Replacing the PES series, this game has taken major strides forward in showing what can be achieved, without a hefty price tag.
However, fans of the preceding PES series have certainly started making noises about their wish to see some classic features return to eFootball, with Master League and Become A Legend the two main ones mentioned.
Several updates and fresh features have refined the game as a whole, leaving eFootball 2022 in the past!
The Show Time festivities are underway and Konami has also recently announced that plenty of new features will be added to the game this Spring when the v.2.5.0 update drops.
So, check out all the latest on eFootball 2023 below.
LATEST - Barcelona Legends Arrive
Three new Barcelona legends have been added to eFootball 2023, all of whom can be added to your Dream Team right now.
Neymar, a shining light of the Catalan club who shone brightly during his stunning spell alongside Messi and Luis Suarez, can now return to the Nou Camp in your dream team.
The same can be said for club legends Edmilson and Romario, both of whom will be fondly remembered as some of the best talents to ever don the iconic colours of the Catalan club.
All three of these cards can be unlocked now in Dream Team.

Rather unsurprisingly, Neymar tops the list with a staggering 98 rating on his card, whilst Romario sits at 97 and Edmilson at 94.
Become A Legend Coming Soon?
Right now, Konami hasn't confirmed any plans to re-introduce Become A Legend into the eFootball franchise.
Unlike Master League, Become A Legend hasn't been mentioned since the PES series was abandoned.
If Become A Legend is to return in the future, it would be a matter of years, not months, before we see the mode return.
Become A Legend was a popular mode included in the PES franchise.
It allowed you to fully craft a career for a custom player, or you could choose to play as a pre-existing star.
Much like FIFA's Player Career Mode, Become A Legend rose to prominence due to its depth and immersive features.

Not only were you battling on the pitch, but meaningful cinematics and off-pitch drama also made this mode feel far richer than what EA had to offer.
When eFootball was released, fans were disappointed that both Master League and Become A Legend were absent, but that could change in the coming months.
Spring update inbound
Konami has announced that eFootball Update v.2.5.0 is on its way this Spring.
A number of new features which are set to be introduced to eFootball 2023 as part of the v2.5.0 update have already been revealed.
First of all, there will be additional player slots in My Team. The current maximum player slots quota of 500 will be expandable to a maximum of 900 using GP.

Secondly, following the Spring update, you will be able to add Player Skills to existing players in My Team.
Five additional skills slots will be added to all players, meaning alll players will then be able to possess a maximum of 15 Player Skills.
You'll be able to use the newly introduced Skill Training Programs to add new Player Skills at random.
Konami is also introducing a new feature called "Legacy Transfer" as part of the Spring update, allowing users to transfer Experience Points and Additional Skills from one player to another.
eFootball 2023 licences
Two former partners of Konami return in eFootball 2023, with AC Milan and Inter Milan, the current holders of Italy’s top domestic league competition and cup competition respectively.
This sees the introduction to the clubs’ players, official kits, badges and the stadium that they share, the San Siro.
In an exclusive agreement, Liga BBVA MX has been implemented in the new game, bringing all 18 Mexican clubs to eFootball 2023.

Two new eFootball Player Ambassadors have also joined the roster, with Liverpool sensation Trent Alexander-Arnold and Manchester United midfield maestro Bruno Fernandes signing on.
Following the large-scale maintenance update back in November, the majority of "Standard" players signed in eFootball 2022 now have their affiliations and photos updated.
In addition, players that were no longer available were replaced with in-game items of equivalent value.
Master League Return Confirmed
Konami has confirmed that Master League is confirmed to arrive in eFootball sometime in 2023, which is much better than the silence we'd have regarding the mode prior.

The mode is confirmed to arrive as paid DLC in eFootball, with Konami departing from their free-to-play model in order to bring it back.
Right now, there's no confirmed price or release date for the Master League DLC - but we know it will drop in 2023.
The return of Master League could provide a positive sign for the return of Become A Legend, with the implementation of this mode potentially acting as somewhat of a Guinea Pig.
