This is how Resident Evil 8 will run on PlayStation

As Resident Evil Village draws closer we are starting to find out a lot more information about the game and can even play it this weekend.

Ahead of the launch of Resident Evil Village next month players can jump into a new demo of the game.

But be quick, you only have a set amount of time to log in and an even shorter amount of playtime.

Here is everything you need to know.

Resident Evil Village PlayStation Performance Revealed

In 2021 we're seeing more and more games focus on 4K gaming as well as ray tracing, and Resident Evil Village won't be any different.

On PC, the new Nvidia RTX 30 series and AMD RX 6000 series of GPUs will be able to run the game up to 4K/60fps with ray tracing enabled, and it won't be too much different on console either.

It has been revealed that the game will be able to run at 4K/60fps on PlayStation 5, 1080p/60fps for the PS4 Pro and 900p/45fps on the base PlayStation 4.

These resolutions will be with ray tracing enabled, which makes the PS4 resolution fairly impressive.

PS4 Pro owners can also play at 4K/30fps.

While it is a drastic drop in resolution when comparing the two generations, it is expected.

The PS4 was a powerhouse of a console back in its original release, but the console is now over seven years old, so we can expect to see AAA titles start to perform worse on older consoles.

Demo

This weekend, a brand new Resident Evil Village demo is available to all PS4 and PS5 owners.

But, there is a catch, players will only be able to play for 30 minutes and there will only be a short eight-hour window to do so.

After this period of time, players will then have to wait until May 1st to be able to play the demo again when it unlocks for other platforms, this time giving players one hour of game time.
