PlayStation's September PS Plus line-up has arrived

The PS Plus announcement ahas arrived and we now know which games we're getting in September 2021. It looks like a great month for PlayStation's PS Plus and here's everything you need to know about the announcement.

UPDATE - PS Plus titles for September Confirmed

We know know what the games are for PS Plus this month. On PS4, it's Hitman 2 and Predator: Hunting Grounds. For PS5 owners, you can grab Overcooked: All You Can Eat.

These titles did leak towards the end of last week, meaning Sony still can't keep a secret! Here's hoping they manage it next month.

When do we find out what we're getting?

PlayStation usually announces their PS Plus games at the same time of the day every month - the day in which they make the announcement might change, but at least there's some sort of uniformity with the announcements.

As long as nothing drastic happens, we should hear more about September 2021's PS Plus line-up on September 1st at the following times:

  • 08:30 PST
  • 11:30 EST
  • 16:30 BST

The leaks we've seen aren't the worst, but they're hardly the best. We just hope that there's going to be a surprise or two in there after August's lacklustre lineup. We should be able to download the next month's games - whatever they might be - from September 7th. So... Not long left to wait now...

Still waiting... Discussing leaks...

The latest PS Plus leak with legs - from Dealabs, which you can see below - has everyone wondering the same thing... Are we ever going to see a proper blockbuster, Triple-A title added to PS Plus again?

Hitman 2 is a decent title alongside Overcooked All You Can Eat and Predator Hunting Grounds - two multiplayer titles that offer a little bit of something for everyone - but they're not exactly Triple-A. Xbox's Game Pass continues to dominate discussions around these services and you have to wonder whether PlayStation is gearing up to try and pivot their efforts to improving PS Now.

Here's the September 2021 PS Plus leak, if you haven't seen it:

  • Overcooked All You Can Eat - PS5
  • Hitman 2 - PS4
  • Predator Hunting Ground - PS4

What could we see from PlayStation next month?

This is always a tough question to answer - PlayStation has quite a large library of games on offer nowadays. We know that we're unlikely to see The Medium, though, as Bloober Team has denied that this will be showing up on PS Plus next month following the leak below:

That being said, Haven and Tony Hawk's Pro-Skater 1+2 aren't the most outrageous suggestions.

With FIST - an acronym for Forged In Shadow Torch - coming out next month on the same date as the PS Plus games, we're inclined to suggest that this will be included as the PS5 game for September 2021's PS Plus games.

WE CAN HOPE FOR REMASTERED - Spider-Man's Remastered release is one of the best-looking PS5 games out there

On top of this, we want to suggest a couple of classic PlayStation Exclusive titles - Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. We know both are quite big games - and in reality, we'll probably get at least one title from an indie studio - but we really think PlayStation need to start leaning on their library of Exclusives for PS Plus.

When can we play them - when we know what they are?

Next month's PS Plus games are going to be available on September 7th. This means you only have until September 6th to download Hunter's Arena, Tennis World Tour 2, and Plants Vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville.

This isn't ideal if you're not a fan of this month's PS Plus games, we realise that, but it's what it is. If anything, it gives you something to look forward to.

You can always add August 2021's PS Plus games to your library and save them for a rainy day - You don't actually need to download them right now. The Call of Duty Vanguard Champion Hill Alpha is about to start, after all!
