Polyphony CEO says GT7 will provide the "best Gran Turismo experience"

CEO of Polyphone Kazunori Yamauchi has recently conducted an interview where he shed light on GT7.

The key takeaway for fans of the series is that GT7 will be blending traditional GT gaming with some of GT Sport's more esport focus:

“While inheriting elements such as the [FIA] championship realised in Sport, Gran Turismo 7 will return to the royal purpose of full volumes like [Gran Turismo] 1-4, and provide the best Gran Turismo experience at present.”

The return to focusing on single-player experiences as well as including the more esports-focus means GT7 should be the best instalment of the franchise ever.

Cars & tracks

Gran Turismo games have always had a lot of cars and locations for you to race around.

GT Sport currently boasts 324 cars and 82 configurations of 32 locations.

Now that track list will include varieties and configurations rather than unique locations, but it's still a huge amount of variety for racers!

The game will include everything in GT Sport as well as the return of Trial Mountain, Deep Forest Raceway, and High Speed Ring among others.

The current Gran Turismo 7 car list features more than 250 cars that Polyphony has shown us in trailers and screenshots.
