The Air Jordan 2 debuted in 1986 and has since gone on to be released in a number of different colourways, however, there is arguably none as unique as the upcoming Union LA x Air Jordan 2 "Rattan" sneaker.
This looks set to be the second basketball shoe collaboration from this pairing, with the "Grey Fog" colourway also due to be released soon.
With that being said, here's everything we know about the "Rattan's" upcoming debut so far...
Union LA x Air Jordan 2 Rattan Release Date
Early reports suggested these shoes were meant to drop around the 2021 holiday season, however, due to supply chain issues, the sneakers were pushed back.
However, we can now confirm the "Rattan" Jordan 2 has now arrived, following a release on 15 April 2022.
Union LA x Air Jordan 2 Rattan Design And Features
According to the released images, the "Rattan" looks like it combines suede and mesh across the upper, with each panel utilising beige and tan tones to give this Jordan 2 a relatively refined look.
The beige colour palette is then contrasted by hints of orange peel, most prominently seen on the lace overlay and underneath the perforated suede, and then the whole sneaker sits on top of a light tan midsole.
One of the most unique design features is the inclusion of the Wings logo and Union branding tag on the ankle, and the modern-day Jumpman and Union emblem on the exposed foam tongue to showcase the two brands' partnership.
Union LA x Air Jordan 2 Rattan Price
With no official listing on Nike's website, it's hard to say exactly how much the "Rattan" will cost right now, however, the pencilled in price tag for a men's pair is around $225.
We'd recommend acting fast when these sneakers drop though as stock will likely be limited, and bots and scalpers will probably be waiting to pick them up for resale.
