Read Dead Online is an expansive and ever-evolving companion to the great single player that released in 2019. Although it doesn't receive quite as much attention as its modern-day rendition, GTA, we are about to receive a great addition to the game.
The Blood Money update is exactly what the game needs to shake it up and show that Rockstar are a giant when it comes to online games.
LATEST - Blood Money Out Today
Blood Money is almost here. Expected to release at around 2 pm BST today, make sure to come back here if it doesn't go live at this time.
Expect all the latest updates right here if anything changes.
Multi-Stage Robbery Missions Will Mimic GTA Online's Heists
The big feature of the new Blood Money Expansion will be the multi-stage robberies which will act very much like GTA Online's Heists.
There will be set-up missions that come in the form of 'Opportunities'. Once enough opportunities have been completed, a larger scale mission will be unlocked.
Blood Money Expansion Confirmed
Rockstar Games has confirmed that Red Dead Online: Blood Money is coming on July 13th and we have the latest trailer showcasing everything on offer below. It looks like you'll be able to commit Crimes alone or with your Posse and work towards uncovering Opportunities for you to make some serious cash.
In addition to all this, "The Quick Draw Club" is a Battle Pass system coming to Red Dead Online that promises new perks, cosmetics, and rewards for all those that venture down the roads being opened up.
If you play on PC, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online are both getting NVIDIA DLSS support with NVIDIA GeForce RTX Graphics cards. Read about all that and more in the Rockstar Games Blog Post here.
When Does Blood Money Come Out?
Although it has now been confirmed as such, our initial guess of July 13th came from a well-known leaker
The source of the leak, RDonlineNews, isn't wrong too often but they often play it safe. They wouldn't make a claim like this without some sort of solid evidence behind it.
We saw a brand new trailer the day after this leak announcing the official date.
What Are We Expecting?
At the moment, we don't really know what to expect. Red Dead Online is missing a lot of features a lot of people want to see so this update really could throw anything at us and it wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.
Of course, the one thing everyone wants to see is a Heist System similar to the one introduced to GTA Online a number of years ago. Red Dead Online is missing player-driven "missions" and Heists would be the perfect way to throw these highly requested scenarios at players with a sandbox feel.
This is what was said, in regards to Red Dead Online's Summer Update, last month:
" Down in Saint-Denis, Angelo Bronte’s trusted lieutenant, Guido Martelli is working to create his own criminal network, so whether it’s intimidation, unsavoury crimes, or larger, high-stakes robberies — riders best be willing to do whatever it takes to earn their blood money."
It all sounds promising, but can Rockstar Games deliver? Only time will tell and we should be able to find out more information in a matter of hours if everything goes to plan...
