Rocket League Developer Psyonix announced Ferrari Collaboration

Season 8 of Rocket League may be around the corner, but Psyonix isn’t done with us just yet. To celebrate the launch of the new Ferarri 296 GTB hybrid sports car, Rocket League are collaborating with the popular Italian manufacturer to make the stunning set of wheels playable in-game.

In what just might be the best-looking partnership to date, the Ferarri 296 GTB will drop in the item shop today, mirroring the launch of the car itself.

How to get the Ferrari 296 GBT

The Ferarri will be dropping in the Item shop on 31 August, bundled with the 296 GTB wheels, Ferrari antenna, Assetto Fiorano decal, and the icing on the cake: the 296 GTB engine audio. So even if you want to bring out your basic Octane, you can roar towards your opponents in style.

Also available will be a free Ferrari player banner, in the shop for the same duration, so you can still arrive in style even if you don't have the credits available. The bundle will be live in the shop on all platforms from 31st August to 6th September, so don’t miss out!

What to expect from the Collaboration

If previous collaborations from Psyonix are anything to go by, we can be sure the new Ferarri will look incredibly stylish, but will also be no slouch in Soccar. Having seen everything from James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5, to the DeLorean from Back to the Future, we know that we don’t have to sacrifice performance for looks.

Most importantly, the new Ferarri will have a dominus hitbox, so if you want to hit some nasty flicks from downtown, this is the car for you. While not everyone can get behind the wheel in real life, the real thing also won’t drive on the ceiling, so who’s to say who’s better off?
