Rocket League Season 9 is almost with us, and it's one of the most exciting themes we've seen come to soccar. Fire and Ice reign supreme as two dragons have occupied Forbidden Temple, and they're here to stay, with a brand new Rocket Pass to work through.

The holidays are fast approaching though, so there's much more to come in Season 9, as Frosty Fest is making a return. Here's everything we can expect from the latest revival of the Christmas event, and all the challenges and items it will bring.

Rocket League Frosty Fest Release Date

Frosty Fest is coming back to Rocket League, most likely on December 16th as in previous years, and will run through until January 3rd, 2023. There are tons of new and returning rewards for completing the challenges from the event, giving you a chance to get your hands on items you may have missed.

We expect that Golden Gifts are returning, and they will unlock items from the previous item series in the same way as usual. The challenge can be completed up to five times, so there's plenty of opportunity to get the items you're looking for in Rocket League.

The item shop will also have some festive goodies on offer if you're looking to deck out your car for the season.

Frosty Fest Limited-Time Modes

Rocket League has seen tons of LTMs return over the years, and as always, the holiday season is delivering. As usual, we expect an arena to have a snowy makeover for the holiday season, as well as arenas from past years to make a return.

Winter Breakaway is returning, which will be held on the throwback arena and once again see the soccar ball replaced with the snow day puck. This is one of the toughest modes to master and the most fun to play.

Spike Rush is also returning, which will be a treat for Rumble fans as well as anyone looking for some holiday chaos in Rocket League. The spike power-up is always engaged, and the ball carrier will be demolished on impact, so passing is key.
