Season 5 is going to be out of this world, literally! Rocket League is going cosmic in this new seasonal update and there's a lot to look forward to. One thing that has us excited is the fact that a fan-favourite limited-time mode is coming back. However, the Heatseeker Ricochet LTM is going to be Heatseeker with a twist. Here's what we know.
EVERYTHING WE KNOW - Heatseeker Ricochet
Rocket League's Heatseeker LTM is a fantastic game mode that changes one key aspect of Rocket League's traditional gameplay to create a whole new experience.
In Heatseeker, every time you hit the ball it automatically starts to head for the centre of your opponent's goal. It's like an Aimbot for Rocket League. The longer the volley of shots continues between your team and your opponents, the faster the ball travels. It can get pretty fast fairly quick and a game of Heatseeker soon becomes a desperate attempt at blocking these shots.
With this in mind, you might be wondering what Heatseeker Ricochet is doing differently to the standard Heatseeker LTM?
Well, it's all about where you play the standard Heatseeker mdoe. Heatseeker Ricochet is played on a series of Rocket Labs Arenas. Rocket Labs Arenas are all unique shapes and sizes, with things like columns and ramps in-game to shake up the traditional Arena layouts used in standard Rocket League games.
Psyonix has confirmed that Barricade, Colossus, and Hourglass are going to be used in the newly-announced Heatseeker Ricochet LTM. This is going to make gameplay all that more chaotic.
START DATE - When does Season 5 kick-off?
Rocket League's fifth season of content is going to arrive on November 17th. We're unclear if the new content is going to go live at the same time as the title update, but the Season 5 title update is expected to release on all platforms at the following times:
- 16:00 November 16th PST
- 19:00 November 16th EST
- 00:00 November 17th GMT
In addition to the Heatseeker Ricochet LTM, the following content is coming to Rocket League in Season 5:

- At the moment, we know that the following items will be included:
- Nexus New Car
- Spacedirt Paint Finish
