How To Hatch Eggs in The Sims 4 Cottage Living

The Sims Cottage Living has just released to some fanfare and a few too many unanswered questions. Though you may be able to figure a decent bit of it out for yourself, you may need a little help. Hatching eggs has become a bit of a hard thing to do but it's actually fairly simple. Here's how to care for your chickens and hens and how to hatch your eggs.

How Does Farming Work?

Generally, farming is fairly small-scale and intended for small amounts of animals. Chickens can be kept in coups and you can hold a total of 8 chickens in each coup. You can have as many as you want as long as you have the room for it.

It is all about space in this expansion. Make sure to have some room for what you want to build and have some room for those new chickens.

Make sure to put a chicken and a hen in your coup and they have a chance to made eggs. Put them into the coup and they should hatch naturally after a little while. You can also have them hatch with your sims if you choose to by interacting with the coop.

From the chick stage, it takes a few days for them to grow, where they can get in the coup and make even more chicks. Make sure to clean your coup and have enough room for it.

Foxes can also steal your eggs so make sure to keep them out. You can do so by making a good fence for your garden and keep an eye out for it. Generally, you want to always keep an eye on your crops, animals, and children anyway so this is just some general advice.
