Arsenal vs Leicester City: Premier League Preview, Odds and Prediction

Arsenal welcomes Leicester City to the Emirates this weekend as they look to follow up their Premier League opening day victory against Crystal Palace.

RealSport101's Harry Smith is on hand to preview Arsenal vs Leicester City ahead of Saturday's kick-off.

Arsenal vs Leicester City Team News

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will look to name an unchanged starting XI when his side welcomes Leicester City to the Emirates on Saturday afternoon following a comprehensive 2-0 win against Crystal Palace in the season curtain-raiser.

The Gunners could be without three first-team players for the visit of Leicester with Fabio Vieira, Emile Smith Rowe and Takehiro Tomiyasu all doubtful heading into the weekend.

Brendan Rodgers could also opt for an unchanged starting XI, electing not to make changes after his Leicester side failed to hold onto a 2-0 lead against Thomas Frank's Brentford on the Premier League opening day.

Saturday's visitors are set to be without right-back Ricardo Pereira, who faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines, while Harvey Barnes and Ryan Bertrand will also miss the trip to London.

Match Preview

Arsenal came flying out of the blocks in their season opener against Crystal Palace on the opening day with summer signings Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus impressing alongside returning centre-back William Saliba.

The Gunners looked a fluid outfit from the off against Palace with the attacking interplay between the front four catching the eye of the neutrals. Consistency will be key if the hosts are to push for a top-four finish this season, but in Gabriel Jesus they have added a goal threat that was severely lacking last term.

Leicester were on course for a perfect start to their Premier League season last weekend after goals Timothy Castagne and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall gave the Foxes a two-goal advantage inside 50 minutes, but two second-half goals helped Brentford fight back to claim a point.

Brendan Rodgers will be hoping to take at least a point home from his trip to the Emirates, but his side will face a confidence-filled Arsenal on Saturday afternoon. A strong start to the season is pivotal for Leicester, given the precarious futures of Wesley Fofana and James Maddison.

Score Prediction: Arsenal 2-0 Leicester City

Harry Smith's Tip: Gabriel Jesus - Anytime Goalscorer
