Can I watch the World Cup on FIFA Plus?

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is just around the corner, with the showpiece tournament in world football set to be broadcast across the globe.

FIFA themselves have been busy in the live streaming game in recent weeks, highlighted by the release of their brand new streaming service, FIFA+.

The new platform offers a range of content, from live streams to archived footage, but will you be able to watch the 2022 FIFA World Cup on FIFA Plus?

Can I watch the World Cup on FIFA Plus?

The streaming service will offer over 40,000 live-streamed matches per year according to Variety.

Unfortunately, though, there are currently no plans to provide coverage of the 2022 World Cup on the service.

In an interview with Variety, Charlotte Burr, the FIFA Plus lead, stated the following:

"There is no plan to have premium World Cup live rights on the platform today."

Whether that will change as we approach the November start date remains to be seen, however for the time being at least, there will be no live World Cup coverage on FIFA Plus.

Is there FIFA World Cup content available?

There may not be any 2022 FIFA World Cup live streams on the FIFA+ site, but there is plenty of World Cup content available to get you in the mood for the tournament.

The site hosts a variety of different written pieces regarding the latest World Cup news, whilst there is also a number of different FIFA World Cup archive videos available to watch in your spare time.

Video content includes remixes of some of the greatest World Cup goals of all time, including James Rodriguez's stunner against Uruguay in 2014.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy all of the World Cup content available.
