Coventry will look to climb off the bottom of the EFL Championship table on Saturday when they make the trip to the Millennium Stadium in South Wales.

RealSport101's Harry Smith is on hand to provide a comprehensive preview of Saturday's EFL Championship battle, including team news, predicted starting XIs and predictions.

Cardiff vs Coventry Team News

Cardiff will be without four first-team players when they welcome Coventry to the Millennium Stadium this weekend, with full-back duo Mahlon Romeo and Jamilu Collins joining Ebou Adams and Rubin Colwill on the injury list.

Interim manager Mark Hudson could make two changes on Saturday afternoon with central midfielder Romaine Sawyers and winger Sheyi Ojo both set to be recalled to the starting XI.

Coventry have two confirmed absentees in attacking midfielder Callum O'Hare and the experienced Liam Kelly, while Brazilian midfielder Gustavo Hamer will serve the final instalment of a four-match suspension.

Only one change is expected from Saturday's visitors with centre-forward Matt Godden likely to replace Tyler Walker alongside Swedish international Viktor Gyokeres.

Confirmed Absentees

Cardiff: Mahlon Romeo, Jamilu Collins, Ebou Adams, Rubin Colwill

Coventry: Gustavo Hamer (Suspension), Callum O'Hare, Liam Kelly

Predicted Lineups

Cardiff (4-3-3): Allsop; Ng, Kipre, Simpson, Nkounkou; Sawyers, Rinomhota, Wintle; O'Dowda, Robinson, Ojo

Coventry (3-5-2): Wilson; Panzo, McFadzean, Doyle; Dabo; Allen, Palmer, Sheaf, Bidwell; Gyokeres, Godden

Cardiff vs Coventry Score Prediction

Cardiff have seen their form turn around following the departure of Steve Morison with interim manager Mark Hudson guiding the Bluebirds to seven points in their last three EFL Championship games.

Hudson will have his eyes on the permanent manager role after Morison was awarded the full-time job last season under similar circumstances, and with the Bluebirds already climbing to 12th place he isn't hurting his case.

Coventry's fortunes remain bleak for the near future with a 1-0 home defeat to Burnley leaving the Sky Blues adrift at the bottom of the EFL Championship, albeit with as many as four games in hand on some of the sides above.

Mark Robins' men remain winless on the road and have drawn each of their last three on their travels, but a record of one defeat from their last five league games will give the Sky Blues some hope heading into the weekend.

Score Prediction: Cardiff 2-1 Coventry

Harry Smith's Tip: Anytime Goalscorer - Callum Robinson
