Wednesday morning brought the news that Thomas Tuchel has been sacked as Chelsea manager following a 1-0 away defeat against Dynamo Zagreb in the Champions League.
The German was a popular figure at Stamford Bridge after delivering the club's second-ever Champions League trophy during his first season, beating Premier League rivals Manchester City 1-0 in Porto in the final.
Last season was more complicated for Chelsea and Tuchel as a poor second half of the season saw the Blues slip into the clutches of improving Spurs and Arsenal sides.
However, it was a poor start to the 2022/23 season that saw new owner Todd Boehly pull the trigger with Tuchel's reign coming to an end on Wednesday morning, much to the surprise of the club's fanbase.
