Ralph Hasenhüttl is set to be sacked as manager of Southampton following a desperate 4-1 home defeat against a high-flying Newcastle side.
The Austrian was the fourth-longest serving manager in the Premier League prior to his dismissal with only Thomas Frank, Jürgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola having been at their clubs longer.
That is no longer the case for Hasenhüttl though with the defeat against Newcastle proving the final straw following a dismal start to the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.

Ralph Hasenhüttl was appointed as Southampton's manager back in 2018 following an impressive two-year stint in Germany with RB Leipzig.
The Austrian's high-pressing football delivered some early success but as investment in the playing staff dried up, so did results.
The Saints were in limbo for large spells of last season and have started this season in an even worse fashion following a summer of recruitment focused on bringing in young talents from around Europe that has not yielded immediate results.
