Chelsea showed plenty of fight in their 1-0 loss to reigning Premier League champions Manchester City, but it was an injury to Raheem Sterling that proved to be the cause of most concern.

The Chelsea and England star only managed 3 minutes before exiting the field, with Chelsea fans concerned as their injury list begins to pile up.

Raheem Sterling Injury

Raheem Sterling was substituted after a matter of minutes in Chelsea's 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Thursday, January 5.

Whilst nothing has been confirmed as of yet, it has been rumoured that Sterling suffered a hamstring strain, likely keeping him out for over a month.

MAJOR BLOW - Sterling will be absent for the foreseeable

This news hasn't been confirmed by Chelsea themselves, but early assessments would appear to suggest that Sterling could miss a good portion of the second half of the season.

Sterling moved to London in the summer following a successful spell at Manchester City and will be hoping that his return from injury can spark him back into his best form.
