When does the U.S. Open start 2022?


The PGA season is in full swing, with the third major of the year set to tee off later this month.

The 122nd instalment of the U.S. Open is scheduled to take place in June, 2022, with the top-ranked players on the PGA Tour heading to The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts with the aim of being named the 2022 U.S. Open champion.

But when will the first ball be hit in the Boston suburb? Let's take a look.

When does the U.S. Open start?

The action begins at The Country Club on the week commencing June 13th, 2022.

There will be the usual pre-tournament fun and games from Monday (June 13th) through to Wednesday (June 15th), with the tournament itself getting underway on Thursday, June 16th.

Play is scheduled to begin at 7am local time / 1pm BST, with the first round pairings and tee times to be officially announced in due course.

Spaniard Jon Rahm enters the tournament as the defending champion after he picked up a maiden Major title with victory at Torrey Pines last year.

Where to Watch the U.S. Open 2022

The 2022 U.S. Open will be shown live in the United States and the United Kingdom, with NBC and the Golf Challenge sharing coverage in the States.
