Despite there being no official information about the agent's abilities, recent comments in the state of play clip can help.
Since the release, speculation has gone wild and many in the community feel they have cracked the code.
@RiotMEMEMEMEME spoke about the abilities of the new agent loosely.
He mentioned that agent 22 will have new ways to check corners, new ways to get onto locations and ways to plant the spike.
So, we should expect some new mechanics and interesting playstyles from this new agent 22 in Valorant.

Personality Speculation
Another set of interesting comments focussed more on the personality of this new agent.

in Valorant matches.
This could be a pointer that agent 22 may be a support agent who is less aggressive.
However, as the teased abilities focus more on map control, and the codename is Smokedancer, maybe a controller type is more possible.
To end the clip, a Spanish 'Nos Vamos' was said which also may mean that the new agent will be Spanish.
However, this is all just speculation and has not yet been confirmed by RIot Games.
