WoW Shadowlands Season 4: Start Date, New PVP Content, Raid Difficulties, M+ Dungeons, & Latest News

Blizzard Entertainment has officially announced the start date for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Season 4 via the World of Warcraft official Twitter account.

This new season will do without the usual schedule where seasons release alongside new patches. Instead, it will be used as a way to fill the gap, adding more content prior to Dragonflight's pre-patch arriving in the future.

With that, here's everything you need to know about WoW Shadowlands Season 4 from its start date to its massive new content and changes.

WoW Shadowlands Season 4 Start Date

After initially being announced alongside WoW Shadowlands 9.2.5, Shadowlands Season 4 will finally be hitting live servers. Players can expect Season 4 to launch on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, with the weekly reset.

It's worth noting that Season 3 will end at 1 am EST the night before the maintenance in each region. With the season's end, both PvP and Mythic+ seasonal rewards will be unobtainable.

The new season will undoubtedly be one of Shadowlands's final pieces of content prior to the expansion's end.

What's coming in Shadowlands Season 4?

Shadowlands Season 4 is set to bring the usual new PvP season, an updated Mythic+ dungeon pool, and new difficulties for Shadowlands' raids.

With the new raid difficulties, players will be able to go back and visit the expansion's initial raids in Castle Nathria and Sanctum of Domination alongside Sepulcher of the First Ones for powerful loot.

The updated Mythic+ pool will have a total of eight new dungeons added. Six dungeons were hand-picked by Blizzard themselves while the last two were put up to a fan vote from the Warlords of Draenor expansion.

The first set of dungeons were the previous expansions' two-part dungeons, Operation Mechagon from Battle for Azeroth, and Return To Karazhan from Legion, with both now joining alongside Tazavesh. The player vote then decided on the final two dungeons, Grimrail Depot and Iron Docks.
