AEW Fight Forever finally has a release date and fans could not be more excited about the arrival of this game.

Aiming to offer a different experience to that supplied in 2K's WWE series, AEW Fight Forever will feature stars like Kenny Omega, MJF and more.

The game has impressed in initial showcases and the hype train is starting to gather momentum following the announcement of an official release date.

With all that being said, let's take a look at all of the confirmed game modes coming to AEW Fight Forever

Early details and reports by both Fightful Select and Mike Straw of SGO tipped off that story mode would be a primary focus for AEW Fight Forever, and there were early mentions that creation modes and online multiplayer were also in the works.

Thanks to the official store listings, we've gotten tons of details confirming game modes, features, and match types for AEW Fight Forever.

These are the core game modes and features that have been confirmed:

  • Career mode
  • Wrestler customization
  • Online co-op multiplayer
  • Signature AEW arenas
  • Nostalgic arcade-wrestler feel

In addition, we know the following match types will be available in AEW Fight Forever:

  • Singles Match
  • Tag Team Match
  • 3-Way Match
  • 4-Way Match
  • Ladder Match
  • Casino Battle Royale
  • Falls Count Anywhere Match
  • Unsanctioned Lights Out Match
  • Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match

Intergender matches and visible blood during hardcore matches were announced early on and have since been confirmed through official trailers.

Further match types will likely be revealed as we build towards a more solid release date for the start of this new franchise.

AEW Fight Forever

The biggest question everyone will have is exactly when the game will arrive, and for some time it's looked like the most likely AEW Fight Forever release date would be September 2022.

This came per a report by Fightful Select, but with no date announced at Gamescom 2022 or Tokyo Game Show, it became clear the title has needed further time.
