The new game is finally here, but if you want to be a champion you will need this WWE 2K23 controls guide! Controls for WWE games have also been relatively confusing, with so many different moves and match types to get your head around.
Last year, wholesale changes were made to the controls of the game, and this has been continued in WWE 2K23. Even those that mastered the previous game will need to have a refresher on what has been updated this year.
With that in mind, here is everything you need to know about performing top-rope moves in WWE 2K23.
How to perform top-rope moves in WWE 2K23
Performing top-rope moves is undoubtedly one of the most satisfying things to pull off in WWE 2K23.
Firstly, you'll need to ensure that you're using a Superstar that can climb to the top rope.
Super Heavyweights, like Braun Strowman or Omos, cannot climb to the top rope, so be sure to use someone that can definitely fly high, even if they can't perform the most extravagant of flips.
Once you've chosen your agile Superstar, you can head to the ring and get diving.
In order to climb to the top rope, run to any corner of the using LT/L2. This will trigger your Superstar to climb the ropes and head to the top.
From there, you need to press the classic offence buttons of X/A or X/Square. Depending on your Superstars move set, they will then perform an offensive move onto your opponent.
Be aware though, if your opponent catches you unaware, they can throw you off the top and send you crashing down with a bang.
You can also perform moves from the second turnbuckle, something even Super Heavyweights can pull off.
Following similar steps above, this time don't run towards the corn. Instead, walk towards the corner and press LB/L1. This will trigger a short climbing animation that will see your Superstar hoist themselves to the second rope, ready to strike.
From there, once again press the classic offence buttons of X/A or X/Square in order to complete the attack.
