WWE 2K23 is here, which means you can jump in right now and get started in your climb to the top of the WWE.
Whether you're a MyRISE enthusiast, an online player or anything in between, knowing how to pin an opponent is a vital part of any match in WWE 2K23.
With the controls changing across the board in recent years, we've got you covered as to how you can pin an opponent and claim the biggest prizes in this year's game.
How to pin an opponent in WWE 2K23
As any wrestling fan knows, matches ten to end via pinfall or submission. Unless you're playing a specific match type that demands you put someone through a table, pinfall is the easiest way to get the W.
Pinning an opponent in WWE 2K23 is incredibly easy, with the right stick now the go-to control.
When your opponent is ground, you will be prompted to pin them by pointing the right stick downward, resulting in a pin.
A pinfall can also be prompted when performing certain moves that have a pin combo included.
For example, Roman Reigns' spear is triggered by entering the corner, but once the spear is hit, you can immediately pin your opponent by pointing the right stick down, without any delay.
Winning by pinfall is something you need to build towards. It's very unlikely you'll be able to hit one move and be done. Instead, you'll need to build damage to your opponent and, ideally, increase their stun bar before securing the victory.
Opponents can be stunned after multiple strikes, but will also be stunned after hitting a heavy finishing or signature move.
Pinning your opponent after a hard-hitting move, and when they're stunned, is a surefire way to get yourself close to victory.
