This week in independent wrestling (December 18 - December 24)


With Christmas approaching it's a quiet week in the independent world, as many promotions are preparing for the new year. We have found a small selection who are putting on shows next week.

United States

We start this week in New York for Create A Pro Wrestling Academy this Thursday. The training academy, run by Pat Buck and the Curt Hawkins present a free show at the CAPW Academy in Hicksville. The show includes a massive 8 man tag main event, as well as a debut match from Bobby Orlando as he wrestles Steve Somerset and Nikki Adams against Kasey Catal. For something more extreme, H20 Hardcore Hustle present A Christmas Castle in Williamstown New Jersey on Friday. Ron Mathis defends the H20 Championship against Jeff Cannonball and there will be fans bring the weapons match between Alex Colon and Matt Tremont, and a Christmas chaos rumble. Back to New York for the New York Wrestling Connection on Saturday as they present Tour De Circus at the NYWC Auditorium in Deer Park. In tag team action, Bull James and Johnny Radke go against High Society, Joey Janela wrestles Rex Lawless and Willow Nightingale defends the NYWC Scarlet Championship against Adira. United Kingdom

Across the pond, Anarchy Pro Wrestling present Violent Night, Unholy Night on Thursday in Camden. Matches will include Aussie Open against Chris Brookes and Omari, Chief Deputy Dunne vs Chris Ridgeway and a death match between Jimmy Havoc and Drew Parker. In Mansfield on Friday, Hope Wrestling host Evolution 55 from Forest Town Arena. Where Flash Morgan Webster defends the King of Flight championship against El Ligero, as well as a HOPE championship match between the champion Cara Noir and Chris Tyler and appearances from Travis Banks, Kip Sabian and Drew Parker. New Generation Wrestling present Eternal Glory on Saturday at Hull City Hall. In a massive main event former friends turned enemies Nathan Cruz and Matt Myers do battle in a steel cage for the NGW Undisputed championship. Rest of the world

The Crash Lucha Libre continue their rise in the world of Lucha on Thursday at the Plaza de Toros in Chiapas. In a lucha classic, Rey Mysterio and Penta Zero M wrestle Rush and La Mascara, Flamita faces Jack Evans and The King & Daga battle against Garza Jr and Bastia 666. Moving down under, Pro Wrestling South Australia host a PWSA Christmas on Saturday at the PWSA Arena in Adelaide. Matches announced so far include Collosus against Ace Wilson. All information can be found on their website.

In Japan, Ryuku Dragon are putting on another show this Saturday at the Navel Cadena Arena. Matches include Ultra Soki vs Gunso and Shuri Joe against Rei Paloma. Visit their website for all information.

WXW host their 17th Anniversary Show on Saturday in Oberhausen. John Klinger defends the WXW Unified World Championship against Ilja Dragunov, David Starr faces Jurn Simmons and Zack Sabre Jr wrestles Marius Al-Ahni. Tickets can be found on their website
