WWE 2K22 Demo: Will there be a free trial for this year's game?

With rumors swirling of a possible WWE 2K22 demo, it's no surprise some fans want a free trial after the issues with WWE 2K20.

Here's everything we know so far about whether there will be a WWE 2K22 demo released ahead of this year's launch date.

WWE 2K22 Demo: Will there be a free trial this year?

Unfortunately, there has been no official word as of yet by 2K Games, WWE Games, or Visual Concepts about a possible WWE 2K22 demo.

However, we do have some great signs about whether it could happen based on how they've handled releases over the past few years.

To start with the good news, WWE 2K22 was the first game in this series to be handled entirely by Visual Concepts, as Yuke's was still part of the development process early on with WWE 2K20.

BOSS TIME: Unfortunately, it probably won't be DEMO TIME soon

Visual Concepts having more control actually adds to the likelihood that there could be a WWE 2K22 demo, as they've done demos before with NBA 2K21 and other previous installments of that series.

However, they chose not to release a demo for NBA 2K22, and so far other signs are leaning towards WWE 2K22 following that same standard.

While a free trial would go a long way to relieving fears of fans who expect the same bug-ridden mess that they saw with WWE 2K20, there hasn't been a proper pre-purchase demo for a WWE game in years.

Early Access will let people start playing even before launch

Until we find out something more official about a possible WWE 2K22 demo, or any free trial of some kind, players will be left either taking the leap or waiting for after the title's release.

If you're willing to take that leap based on what's been shown already, you can score Early Access and start playing even before the title's official release date of March 11, 2022.

Players who pre order the WWE 2K22 Deluxe Edition or WWE 2K22 nWo 4 Life Edition will get three days Early Access and get to start playing as soon as March 8, 2022.

That won't be much help for those still hesitant to make a purchase without knowing more, and so far it doesn't look like a WWE 2K22 demo is going to help ease those concerns.

We are hoping to see a more extensive gameplay deep dive in the coming weeks, and hopefully that additional footage will help reassure fans that WWE 2K22 won't make the same mistakes as WWE 2K20.
