With the release just weeks away everyone is excited thanks to the WWE 2K23 cover star. This year's game is set to have a monumental Showcase around one of the greatest wrestlers ever.
After a solid return to the franchise last year, players around the world are eager to get their hands on WWE 2K23. With updated game modes, graphics, and gameplay 2K is trying to take the WWE franchise to the next level.

WWE 2K23 Cover Star
We knew it was coming and now we've had it confirmed, with WWE 2K23 once again set to take consoles by storm.
WWE GOAT and multi-time champion John Cena leads the line as the main cover star this year, with 2K Games wasting no time in attempting to make this year's game the best yet.
Not only will Cena feature as the cover star, but he will also be the subject of a huge WWE 2K23 Showcase mode, celebrating the career of the sports entertainment icon.

The Champ may be spending more time in Hollywood than in a ring these days, but his career is definitely worthy of a showcase.
Players will get to wrestle their way through Cena's remarkable career. There are multiple versions of Cena in WWE 2K23, from his debut "Prototype" gimmick all the way through his record-setting career.
Of course, that means there are also multiple versions of his biggest rivals. Batista, Brock Lesnar, and Randy Orton all have historic variations within the game that players will get to fight both with and against.
Showcase is usually one of the stronger parts of WWE 2K games and we can't wait to dive into the story of Cena's legendary rise to the top of wrestling.
Roster ratings confirmed
Both the WWE 2K23 roster AND the WWE 2K23 ratings have been confirmed by 2K ahead of release.
There will be more than 170 wrestlers in the game at launch. This includes the current roster along with legends like The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Chyna.
As expected, current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns tops the ratings. He's got the maximum 99 rating this year to celebrate more than 900 days as the Head of the Table.
On the women's roster a surprise tops the charts. Becky Lynch comes in at a 96 rating despite not holding either WWE women's title at the moment.
WWE 2K23 release date
This year's game features several franchise advancements, including a unique new take on the 2K Showcase, the WWE 2K introduction of the fan-favourite WarGames, and expansions to several marquee game modes.
The WWE 2K23 release date is set for Friday, 17 March 2023. This is just two weeks away! However, you can play even earlier than this if you get a special edition of the game.
Deluxe Edition and Icon Edition owners will get a worldwide release on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 thanks to three days early access that comes with those editions.
Of course, they also cost more but if you can't wait to set your own WrestleMania 39 card then you just have to get them!
