WWE 2K23 controls
As ever, WWE 2K23 is a pretty tricky game to get to grips with when it comes to controls. From a new grapple system to fresh ways to punish opponents you will need our controls guide!
The WWE 2K23 controls are tricky to get to grips with. They aren't too dissimilar to last year's game but there are a few changes. If you are just coming back to the franchise though, they are a long way removed from WWE 2K20 and beyond.
Everything from finishers and signatures to pinning your opponent and hitting flashy springboard attacks requires precision and total knowledge of the complicated control system.
There are even WWE 2K23 combos that you need to master. All of this will help you claim any championship you want.
WWE 2K23 Creation Suite
The WWE 2K23 Creation Suite is back in all its glory this year. It has long been arguably the best community tool in all of gaming and it is no different this year.
The best community creations have already put stars like CM Punk and Sasha Banks back into the game. Downloading community creations will let you play out your fantasy booking dreams.
there are more than 600 new items in the Creation Suite this year, letting you create a fresh vibe for superstars. There are also advanced custom entrances, finally letting your created wrestlers feel real.
As ever, you can create a championship and arena too. Uploading logos will let you create absolutely anything you want, even old WCW and ECW arenas! Using custom creations isn't that straightforward, but our guide has you covered!
WWE 2K23 Showcase
Showcase returns this year with a run through the epic career of John Cena, one of WWE's most decorated home-grown talents ever.
The full list of 14 matches runs from Cena's debut against Kurt Angle in 2002 up to his 2021 SummerSlam match against Roman Reigns. There are chapters from his epic rivalries with Edge, Brock Lesnar, and Randy Orton.
There are plenty of unlockables to earn in this mode too. Every arena you fight in can be unlocked but successfully completing the challenges, the same goes for the championships you fight for too.
Overall, there are 18 items you can unlock so be sure to run your way through the Showcase!
Locker Codes
WWE 2K23 Locker Codes are a great way to get things for free in the game. These codes are only available for a limited time, so be sure to check regularly for new ones.
With the game only just releasing, there is currently one Locker Code available, but that is sure to change in the coming weeks. To redeem Locker Codes follow these steps:
- Open the MyFACTION Hub
- On the Home Page, open "Locker Codes" on the right side of the page
- Type in the WWE 2K23 Locker Codes you wish to redeem

WWE 2K23 Roster
The full WWE 2K23 roster is massive and features every major star in the WWE Universe. Current Undisputed WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns tops the ratings at 99 OVR.
Becky Lynch leads the women with a 96 OVR despite not currently holding either major singles title in the division.
Along with every current superstar there are plenty of historic wrestlers that players can unlock. From icons like The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Hulk Hogan all the way to Big Boss Man and Doink The Clown, there are stars from every generation.
DLC
2K Games has confirmed there will be WWE 2K23 DLC for players to purchase over the lifespan of the game. Five packs have been confirmed to arrive this year, with superstars old and new included.
The DLC packs confirmed to arrive are:
- Steiner Row Pack - April 19
- Pretty Sweet Pack - May 17
- Race to NXT Pack - June 14
- Revel with Wyatt Pack - July 19
- Bad News Pack - August 16
Superstars such as Bray Wyatt, Scott Steiner and Wade Barret have all been confirmed to arrive as DLC in WWE 2K23, with the total amount of downloadable superstars taking the roster total close to the 200 mark.
