Games With Gold July 2021 Announced

Xbox's Games With Gold has shown month after month that it has taken a backseat to Game Pass. With it doing so well each month, the free games have been notoriously lacklustre. This month is no different.

LATEST - Games With Gold Revealed

We finally know what we're getting next month. The games are Planet Alpha, Rock of Ages 3, Conker: Live & Reloaded and Midway Arcade Origins.

It's lucky that we see these games as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as this has become a hard subscription to look forward to each month.

When Do We Get The Announcement?

Xbox's Major Nelson, Larry Hryb to his friends, always announces the Games With Gold games for the coming month at the same time each month. The news always drops on the last Tuesday of the month.

Therefore, this time around, we should see Larry Hryb (we're all friends here, right?) make the announcement at around 08:00 PST / 11:00 EST / 16:00 BST on June 29th. This is just a couple of days before the games are due to release!

There are sometimes delays if Xbox has a showcase planned, but as it stands, they should be on time.

When Do The Games Come Out?

Xbox's July 2021 Games With Gold titles are going to be available throughout the next month. The one key difference between Xbox's monthly games service and PlayStation's monthly games service is that Xbox releases their titles in stages.

This means we should see two Games With Gold Games - one Xbox One title and one Xbox 360 title - available on July 1st and then the other two Games With Gold games added mid-month.

We know that sounds a little complicated, but if you look at last month's Games With Gold titles... It starts to make more sense. Here's last month's line-up...

There will be one Xbox One game available for the whole month, but the other three games will only be available for a limited time in July.

Our Games With Gold Predictions

It's our favourite time of the month: Our Games With Gold July 2021 game predictions!

As always, there's going to be two Xbox One titles and two Xbox 360 titles and we've got a pretty good selection for you to ponder over this month.

Firstly, we think that PlatinumGames' Vanquish could be sliding into our Game Library in July 2021 with Games With Gold. Vanquish's fast-paced action-heavy gameplay was popular enough to warrant a remaster alongside Bayonetta, so we could even see the remastered version of the title added to Games With Gold. We're going to stick this in with the Xbox 360 games, though, this time around.

Secondly, we're manifesting an appearance from the iconic Left 4 Dead on Xbox 360. Valve's 2008 zombie-slaying title is an unforgettable epic of that generation of games and we don't need to tell you how great it would be to dive back into the chaos with Bill Overbeck again.

In terms of Xbox One games, there's a lot to choose from. We believe we could see an appearance from Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. FromSoftware's supernatural take on Japanese mythology is one of the best "Souls" games out there. We know this would be a huge stretch for Xbox's Games With Gold service, but we believe.

Finally, we reckon that we're going to see the criminally underrated REAL STEEL added to Xbox's Games With Gold lineup in July 2021. Based on the blockbuster movie starring Hugh Jackman and Evangeline Lily, this fighting game is unlike anything else out there. Who doesn't like to see two robots smash the scrap out of eachother?
