FIFA 23 FUT Champs: New Start Time & Finish, Updated Rewards & more

The Team of the Season campaign is all wrapped up in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, which means that changes have come to FUT Champs once again, including the rewards and also the start and end times.

We should also see adjustments to Division Rivals and Squad Battles now Team of the Season is over, although that may come at a later date.

FUT Champions

FUT Champions has been a staple of Ultimate Team for years, often referred to as Weekend League or just FUT Champs.

You first need to earn enough FUT Champions Qualification Points, gained through playing Division Rivals or ranking high enough in a previous FUT Champions Finals, which will gain you entry to the Playoffs.

Playoffs consist of 10 matches, where you will need to win four to qualify for FUT Champions Finals, with more wins getting you better rewards.

The Finals Qualification Token you earn through Playoffs grants you access to FUT Champions Finals, where you will have 20 matches to win as many games as possible; the more wins the higher your final rank, the higher the rank the better the rewards!

The rewards from FUT Champs are an easy way to guarantee yourself some of the best cards in the game, so try to play every weekend if you want your team to conquer all comers.

FUT Champs Start Time & Finish

During the TOTS campaign, FUT Champs was extended to start on Fridays at 3pm ET / 8pm BST and end on Wednesdays at 3am ET / 8am BST.

FUT Champions Finals will now revert back to the start and end times from pre-TOTS, opening on Fridays at 3am ET / 8am BST and ending on Mondays at 3am ET / 8am BST.

This change came into effect from the Finals event on Friday, 16 June.

FUT Champs Rewards

As well as a change in the schedule, FUT Champs rewards have also been updated to reflect a post-TOTS game.

They went live in-game from 3am ET / 8am BST on Friday, 16 June.

In FUT 22 fans were left frustrated that Ultimate TOTS Packs weren't on offer as rewards for finishing at higher ranks, as they had been in previous years.

How Many Wins Needed for Each Rank

We don't expect any changes in FUT Champions in regards to how many points you gain for a win or a loss, or how many points are needed to hit the different ranks.

A win will get you four points, a loss one, so it is important to know how well you need to do to gain the rank you want, and therefore get the rewards you are after!

The following shows the minimum number of wins needed for each rank in FUT Champions Finals if you play the full 20 matches:

• Rank 1: 19 Wins (76-80 points)
• Rank 2: 18 Wins (72-75 points)
• Rank 3: 16 Wins (67-71 points)
• Rank 4: 14 Wins (60-66 points)
• Rank 5: 11 Wins (51-59 points)
• Rank 6: 9 Wins (45-50 points)
• Rank 7: 6 Wins (36-44 points)
• Rank 8: 2 Wins (24-35 points)
• Rank 9: 0 Wins (12-23 points)
