The Shapeshifters campaign is up next in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team and is set to bring some of the best cards we've seen to the game!
With top stars getting transformed with position changes and altered stats, get ready for some unique items during Shapeshifters.

Shapeshifters Release Time
Shapeshifters will replace the Team of the Season promo, with the side dropping on Friday, 16 June.
The Shapeshifters cards will be released into packs at 1pm ET / 6pm BST on release day and will be available in packs for one week.
Shapeshifters COUNTDOWN
We expect this to be Team 1 of a multi-week event, with the possibility of a six-week campaign.
With Season 7 dedicated to Shapeshifters, it looks like we could be in store for another mammoth promo.
Shapeshifters Predictions
We've already seen the first two Shapeshifters cards, with huge ratings for Thiago Silva and Toni Kroos showing that EA isn't messing about with the promo in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team!
Last year, Team 1 was made up of 11 players, who were joined by a mini-release of three more, so we expect the same amount this time.
Some of the best players in the game will be celebrated, and, as we saw when Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo headlined the first two teams in FUT 22 with 99-rated items, no player is off limits.
Fan favourites will also gain massive boosts, helping them become more meta players that can compete with the current power curve.
With that in mind, here are some names we could expect to see:

- CB - Olivier Giroud (OVR 93)
- LB - Bernardo Silva (OVR 96)
- CDM - Harry Kane (OVR 97)

- CAM - Youssoufa Moukoko (OVR 94)
- LM - Sheraldo Becker (OVR 92)
- CF - Renato Sanches (OVR 96)
- RW - Paul Pogba (OVR 93)
- ST - Virgil van Dijk (OVR 97)
- ST - Silas (OVR 94)
- LW - Cristiano Ronaldo (OVR 99)
FUT Heroes
After FUT Heroes were given Shapeshifters items in FUT 22, it seems implausible that they won't appear again in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.
When we see them is up for debate, with the FUT Hero cards coming in the third and fourth teams in the last campaign.
If we do see them appear in the first release, here are some players we would love to make the cut:
- CB - Yaya Toure (OVR 95)
- LB - Saeed Al Owairan (OVR 92)
- CAM - Ivan Cordoba (OVR 94)
- LW - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (OVR 93)
- ST - Lucio (OVR 94)
Alternate Reality Icons
Despite being added to the code months ago, Shapeshifters could be the first time we get to see what Alternate Reality Icons are!
It would be the promo that fits the description most, giving us a taste of what these legends of the game could have been like in another world.
Again, when (or if) these Alternate Reality Icons appear is another matter, and if the campaign is to last up to six weeks, we could be waiting until the fifth and sixth squads!
Even so, here are some Icons that we feel would suit a Shapeshifters upgrade:
